My take
Man, this one is sad! And a bit strange. It's good. This new bond in George Lazenby is quite good, but he feels like he's "playing" James Bond, not that he actually is James Bond. The whole movie feels a bit like that. It starts at the highest level of that with Lazenby saying that it hadn't happened with the last guy and then the opening credits weirdly playing scenes from the past bond movies. But even throughout the movie they have a lot of the good tropes of casino scenes, girls, gadgets, chases, bad guys and bad guys' assistants. The serious romance is good, but not as good as in From Russia with Love.
