My take
Man, the number of sequels that are not only as good but improve on the first is so small. The second god father, the twin towers. I was absolutely blown away by this movie. It balanced something that is almost impossible, it advanced the story and each had their own new character arc, while simultaneously introducing new characters and giving more background on the main character. Pure genius. And the Sarah McLaughlin song was a wow moment. I don’t have many memories of this movie, outside that song. Which made the experience of watching it with the family just the more pure and wonderful. And the whole thing is effectively a story about being a parent and enjoying the time with your kids. Tears. Tears. Tears.
